What an awesome day of hands-on social media training with the store managers at Mica Ballito! We explored the exciting world of video content creation, Instagram Reels, TikToks, and how to create eye-catching videos in minutes using AutoCut. We also covered adding music, sound effects, voiceovers and simple editing techniques to bring everyday content to life. The goal? Making social media content creation easy, practical and fun!
But this wasn’t a sit-and-listen workshop! After some live demonstrations and practical examples, the team grabbed their phones and headed around the store to create their very own videos. From products on the shelves to everyday store activities, everyone got involved, putting their new skills into action. It was fantastic seeing the creativity, enthusiasm and confidence grow as the day progressed. Learning by doing is always the best way to learn!
Of course, I couldn’t resist getting behind the camera and creating a few videos myself! Although I must admit, Mavis was a little grumpy because she hadn’t had her morning coffee yet! Thankfully, the cameras survived, and we all had a good laugh! A massive thank you to the Mica team for embracing the training with such enthusiasm. Remember, you don’t need expensive equipment or complicated software to create great content. Just your smartphone, a little creativity and the confidence to press RECORD!
