Hirsch’s Homestores encourages entrepreneurship in South Africa.
Hirsch’s Homestores has launched a new start-up support initiative designed to give small businesses a platform to showcase their products and services. The company hosted its first “Start-up Celebration” event at the Ballito branch on the North Coast, creating an opportunity for entrepreneurs, especially SMMEs, to gain exposure and connect with the community.
CEO Richard Hirsch highlighted that entrepreneurship is deeply rooted in the company’s story. Hirsch’s itself was started 43 years ago by Allan and Margaret Hirsch with just R900 in savings, and today it has grown into a billion-rand business. “We love the idea of giving other start-ups, who often struggle to find opportunities for exposure, a platform to promote their businesses,” said Hirsch. The initiative reflects Hirsch’s ongoing commitment to supporting South Africa’s entrepreneurial spirit and inspiring the next generation of business owners. Entrepreneurs interested in participating are encouraged to contact Hirsch’s PR team for more information.
