ChatGPT Workshop at Hirsch’s Homestore Hillcrest
On 23 August 2023, Sunil Sewpersadh presented an entertaining and insightful workshop at Hirsch’s Homestore in Hillcrest, focusing exclusively on ChatGPT and its many real-world applications. The session gave attendees a clear introduction to how conversational AI can be used for everyday business tasks such as writing content, generating ideas, and improving productivity. To demonstrate its guardrails, Sunil even asked ChatGPT to write a cheeky poem for his wife—but the AI politely declined, reminding everyone that women should be respected. This sparked laughter in the room and showed participants the importance of ethics and responsibility in artificial intelligence.
The talk was both practical and lighthearted, balancing technical insights with relatable examples. Attendees walked away with a strong understanding of how ChatGPT can save time and improve communication, while also appreciating the values built into AI systems.
