Project Description
Empowering Entrepreneurs at the Durban Textile and Leather Incubator
On 22 February 2024, I had the privilege of speaking to a vibrant group of entrepreneurs at the Durban Textile and Leather Incubator (DTLI) in KwaZulu-Natal. The session was focused on empowering small business owners with digital marketing skills, social media strategies, and modern tools to grow their brands online. The atmosphere was electric with learning, laughter, and genuine engagement, as participants eagerly absorbed insights that could help transform their businesses. DTLI continues to play a crucial role in driving innovation and skills development in the local textile and leather industry.
The event highlighted the importance of digital literacy and online visibility in today’s competitive market. From taking selfies to sharing real-world business challenges, the entrepreneurs embraced the experience with enthusiasm and curiosity. It’s always a joy to see local business owners leave with actionable knowledge and a renewed sense of confidence. Sessions like these reaffirm the value of platforms like DTLI in fostering entrepreneurial growth and equipping emerging brands with the tools they need to thrive in the digital economy.
