Project Description
Training Young Filmmakers at KZN Film Commission: Social Media & Content Creation Focus
We recently conducted an engaging and practical digital media training session at the KwaZulu-Natal Film Commission’s head office in Musgrave, Durban. The workshop focused on equipping a group of passionate young filmmakers with the essential digital skills needed to market their film projects effectively. We covered core areas such as content creation, social media scheduling, video production tools, and strategies for consistent engagement. Participants were especially excited about learning how to leverage YouTube to promote their work and attract larger audiences.
This training aligned with the growing need for creatives in the film industry to adapt to modern digital platforms. By incorporating video marketing, practical content creation techniques, and a clear understanding of how to reach and grow online audiences, the filmmakers left with hands-on experience and fresh ideas to take their projects forward. The KwaZulu-Natal Film Commission continues to invest in upskilling the creative industry, and we’re thrilled to have played a part in that vision.
